Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition

Nowadays, Visual Studio is definitely one of my top 5 most-used applications. I have also started using Visual Studio Online to store source codes few months ago. I have started migrating my management packs and PowerShell scripts into Visual Studio Online, and connect Visual Studio to my Visual Studio Online repository. Microsoft has released a new edition of Visual Studio 2013 few days ago: Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition. This morning, in order to test it, I uninstalled Visual Studio Ultimate from one of my laptops, and installed the new community edition instead. I tested all the features and extensions

Bulk Creating Overrides in VSAE

At work, in one of the OpsMgr 2007 management groups, we have 3 sets of Australian state / territory based computer groups. Let’s say they are App-A, App-B, and All computers groups. so each state has 3 computer groups (i.e. NSW App-A, NSW App-B and NSW All Computers). By default, for computer groups, the Health Rollup Policies for the Health Rollup dependency monitors are configured to use the worst state of any member: Yesterday, there was a requirement to change the health rollup policies for these groups from the “Worst state of any member” to a percentage value of 95%
